I updated the template file “mmuuf generic template.dwt” (and uploaded that file to the server — even though after reading your article I now realize I didn’t need to).
-Open your master Dreamweaver Template file (or create a new Template).
The template file will have a DWT file extension and will be inside a folder called Templates in the root of your defined site.
PMM3 is designed to be fully compatible with Dreamweaver Templates.
The system will recognize that a template is being used and adjust accordingly.
Not sure if you’re still monitoring this for questions, but just in case…
My site uses a template which holds a banner image at the top and a Table Of Contents down the left side of every page.
Information for building new content is found in the EPA Web Guide.
Unfortunately, novice users often fail to implement templates correctly causing themselves a lot of frustration and extra work rather than saving time and effort.
But..I want to update them, without disturbing the updates that others may be making to the site. Is it doable within Contribute, as an Administrator?
Or are Administrators locked out of these regions as well?
You can find templates for Adobe Flash, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Word Press blogs, and more, but not all templates work in all programs.
